    Microsoft Clarity integration for Rig

The easiest way to connect Microsoft Clarity to Claude and other AI tools

Microsoft Clarity is a free behavioural analytics tool that records sessions and heatmaps, and surfaces frustration signals such as rage clicks and dead clicks.

What Rig syncs from Microsoft Clarity

Once connected, Rig models these objects so questions resolve to the right tables and joins:

    • Daily traffic snapshots
    • Engagement time
    • Scroll depth
    • Rage clicks
    • Dead clicks
    • Error clicks
    • Popular pages

How Microsoft Clarity connects to Rig

Give Rig an API token from your Clarity project. Rig pulls the Data Export API's daily aggregate snapshots, broken down by device, browser and operating system, by source, medium and campaign, by country and by URL, and accumulates them into a history the Clarity dashboard does not keep.

    Track frustration signals over time

Rage clicks, dead clicks and error clicks tell you where an interface is failing people, but Clarity shows them as a current view rather than a trend. Rig stores the daily snapshots, so you can see whether a fix worked and whether a regression crept back.

    Ask Rig
    • Which pages have the most rage clicks this month?
    • Did dead clicks on the checkout drop after the redesign?
    • Where are error clicks trending upward?

    Join behaviour signals to revenue

On its own, scroll depth is interesting. Next to orders, it is actionable. Rig lands Clarity's page-level engagement alongside your ecommerce data, so you can ask whether the pages people abandon are the pages costing you money, rather than treating engagement as its own scoreboard.

    Ask Rig
    • Do pages with low scroll depth convert worse?
    • Which high-traffic pages have both poor engagement and high exit rates?
    • Where is frustration highest on the paths that lead to checkout?

Compare behaviour across devices and sources

Clarity breaks its aggregates down by device, browser, operating system, traffic source and country. In the warehouse those dimensions join to your acquisition data, so you can see whether a channel sends traffic that struggles with your site before you spend more on it.

    Ask Rig
    • Is engagement worse on mobile than desktop, and by how much?
    • Which traffic sources bring the least engaged visitors?
    • Do particular browsers show more error clicks?

Ask your Microsoft Clarity data in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor

Rig serves your Microsoft Clarity data to AI assistants over MCP. Once Microsoft Clarity is synced into your warehouse, you can ask questions in plain English from the tool you already use, and every answer is backed by validated, governed SQL.

    Frequently asked questions

Does Rig sync Clarity session recordings?
No. Clarity's Data Export API provides aggregate dashboard data, not raw sessions or recordings, so recordings stay in Clarity where you watch them. What Rig brings across is the numbers behind them.
How often can Clarity data be synced?
Once a day. Clarity hard-caps the export API at 10 requests per project per day, so Rig syncs once, deliberately using only part of that budget, and will not run twice in the same UTC day.
How much history does Clarity provide?
The API returns a trailing 24-hour window, which is why syncing matters: Rig accumulates those daily snapshots into a history that Clarity itself does not retain.
What do I need to connect Clarity?
An API token from your Clarity project. There is no OAuth flow and nothing else to configure.
