Google Search Console integration for Rig

The easiest way to connect Google Search Console to Claude and other AI tools

Google Search Console reports how your site performs in Google's organic results, including the queries people searched, the pages that ranked and where they ranked.

What Rig syncs from Google Search Console

Once connected, Rig models these objects so questions resolve to the right tables and joins:

    • Daily search analytics by query
    • By page
    • By country
    • By device
    • True daily totals
    • Submitted sitemaps
    • Site list

How Google Search Console connects to Rig

Connect over OAuth, or add a Rig service-account address as a user on the Search Console property and let Rig read it that way. Rig pulls up to 16 months of daily search analytics broken down by query, page, country and device, plus true daily totals that include the queries Google anonymises, and re-pulls recent days to absorb Google's freshness lag.

Keep search history past Google's 16-month window

Search Console only retains 16 months, so year-on-year analysis quietly becomes impossible the moment you need it. Rig syncs the data into your warehouse and keeps it, which means the window you save is the window you get: connect earlier and you accumulate history Google will not give back later.

    Ask Rig
    • How have clicks and impressions changed year on year by page?
    • Which queries have we lost visibility on since last year?
    • Show average position by month for our top 50 pages

    Join organic performance to revenue

Search Console knows about clicks and Shopify knows about orders, and separately neither can tell you what organic search is worth. In one warehouse, landing pages join to sessions and orders, so an organic query can be followed through to revenue rather than stopping at a click.

    Ask Rig
    • Which organic landing pages drive the most revenue?
    • What is the revenue per organic click by page?
    • Which queries bring traffic that converts rather than bounces?

Find the pages worth working on

Rig lands query and page level data together, so you can find the pages ranking just below the fold, where a small position gain is worth a lot of clicks, and separate them from pages that rank well and simply have low demand.

    Ask Rig
    • Which pages rank between positions 5 and 15 with high impressions?
    • Where are we getting impressions but almost no clicks?
    • Which queries are we ranking for that we never targeted?

Ask your Google Search Console data in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor

Rig serves your Google Search Console data to AI assistants over MCP. Once Google Search Console is synced into your warehouse, you can ask questions in plain English from the tool you already use, and every answer is backed by validated, governed SQL.

    Frequently asked questions

How much Search Console history can Rig pull?
Up to 16 months, which is Google's own retention limit. From then on Rig accumulates history in your warehouse, so your record grows past what Search Console itself will return.
Does Rig get the queries Google anonymises?
Not individually, because Google does not expose them. Rig does pull true daily totals as well as the query breakdown, so the anonymised traffic is included in your totals even though it cannot be attributed to a specific query.
How do I connect Search Console to Rig?
Either authorise over OAuth, or add a Rig service-account address as a user on the property. The service-account route avoids the OAuth consent screen entirely.
Why do recent days change after a sync?
Google finalises Search Console data over a few days. Rig re-pulls the most recent days on each sync so the numbers settle to their final values rather than freezing at the first read.
