Apify integration for Rig
The easiest way to connect Apify to Claude and other AI tools
Apify is a web scraping and automation platform where actors, which are cloud programs, run and store what they collect in datasets.
What Rig syncs from Apify
Once connected, Rig models these objects so questions resolve to the right tables and joins:
- Actors
- Runs
- Dataset items
How Apify connects to Rig
Rig Ingest syncs your Apify actors, their runs and the dataset items each run produced into your warehouse on a schedule. You connect with a personal API token and can limit the sync to chosen actor IDs.

Scraped data is most useful once it joins to your own tables. Rig lands every dataset item in the warehouse tagged with its run and actor, so prices, listings or pages can be compared with your products and customers.
- How do competitor prices scraped last week compare with ours?
- Which scraped products are missing from our catalogue?
- Show the latest scraped price for each product URL
Monitor scraping runs
A run is one execution of an actor, with a status and timing. Rig syncs runs for every actor, so you can see which scrapers fail, how long they take and when they last ran.
- Which actors had failed runs this week?
- How long do runs take for each actor?
- When did each actor last run successfully?
Track how scraped values change over time
Each run produces its own dataset, so repeated runs of one actor give a history. Rig keeps that history with the run start time, which lets you see how a price, rank or availability changed between runs.
- How did the price of each scraped item change across runs?
- Which items went out of stock between the last two runs?
- How many items did each run collect?
Ask your Apify data in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor
Rig serves your Apify data to AI assistants over MCP. Once Apify is synced into your warehouse, you can ask questions in plain English from the tool you already use, and every answer is backed by validated, governed SQL.
Frequently asked questions
- What Apify data does Rig sync?
- Actors, runs, and the dataset items each run produced, tagged with the run and actor that made them.
- Why do items from different actors have different columns?
- Each actor decides what its items contain. They share a table, and the run and actor tags show which columns belong to which actor.
- Can I sync only some actors?
- Yes. Enter actor IDs, separated by commas, when you connect. Leave the field blank to sync every actor the token can see.
- Can I query Apify data in Claude or ChatGPT?
- Yes. Once Apify is synced to your warehouse, Rig serves it to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other AI tools over MCP.
