Connect QuickBooks to Rig

Connect it in Rig
- In Rig, open
Connectionsand go toSources & actions. - Search for QuickBooks and open the card.
- Click Connect with QuickBooks. Intuit asks you to sign in and pick the company to authorise.
- Approve the access. You come back to Rig with the connection live.
- Leave Realm ID blank. That is QuickBooks' internal company identifier, and Rig reads it from the authorisation you just completed.
- Leave Environment blank unless you are deliberately connecting an Intuit sandbox company rather than your real books.
- Click
Test, thenSync.
What Rig pulls in
QuickBooks lands in its own quickbooks schema. Rig syncs 24 objects, which between them cover the ledger rather than a summary of it.
- Sales: invoices, payments, estimates, credit memos, refund receipts
- Purchasing: bills, bill payments, purchase orders, purchases
- Ledger: journal entries, accounts, deposits, transfers
- People: customers, vendors, employees
- Reference data: items, classes, departments, tax rates, tax agencies, company info and preferences
- Time: time activities
Transactional objects sync incrementally on their last-updated timestamp. The reference data is small enough that Rig refreshes it in full each time, so renaming a class or adding a tax rate is reflected on the next sync.
More than one company
QuickBooks scopes an authorisation to a single company file, so if you keep separate books for separate entities, add one Rig source per company and label each. Every company then lands in its own dataset, which keeps consolidated reporting a deliberate join rather than an accident of two ledgers sharing a table.
