Connect Beam (Lightmeter) to Rig
Sync your Beam campaign performance, deliverability, replies and lead-level outcomes into Rig, so your AI tools can reason over your outbound results alongside the rest of your data. Beam connects with a single organisation API key.
What is Beam?
Beam by Lightmeter is turn-key outreach infrastructure. It is a sales-only email delivery network, independent of Google, Microsoft and SendGrid, with deliverability managed by experts and powered by Lightmeter's own mailserver and AI models. Teams use it to scale cold outbound without burning their domain or landing in spam, and to keep their everyday office email isolated from sales sending.
Beam ships with its own analytics: campaign opens, replies, bounces, deliverability and volume, broken out by campaign, sequence and lead. Connecting it to Rig brings those numbers into your warehouse next to your CRM, billing and product data, so you can tie outbound activity to pipeline and revenue.
Before you start
- You need a Beam (Lightmeter) workspace and an organisation API key. The key is scoped to your whole organisation and unlocks every campaign in it.
- If API access isn't enabled on your account yet, ask your Lightmeter account manager to turn it on and issue a key. There is no self-serve key screen today.
- Beam's API base URL is
https://beam.lightmeter.io, and the same key works for both the Campaigns and Analytics endpoints.
Step 1: Get your Beam API key
- Sign in to Beam at
beam.lightmeter.io. - Request your organisation API key from your Lightmeter account manager if you don't already have one. Keys are issued per organisation.
- Copy the key somewhere safe and treat it like a password.
One key for your whole organisation
The API key is organisation-wide and reaches every campaign your account can see. Store it securely, and rotate it with your account manager if it is ever exposed.
Step 2: Connect it in Rig
- In Rig, open
Connectionsin the left sidebar and go to theSourcesstep. - Search for beam and click the Beam (Lightmeter) card.
- Paste your key into Beam API key.
- Click
Continue, thenTestto pull a small sample, thenSyncto run the full pipeline.
What Rig pulls in
Beam lands in its own beam schema in your warehouse, drawn from Lightmeter's Analytics API:
- Campaign analytics: lifetime totals plus date-grained trends (daily, weekly or monthly buckets) per campaign.
- Sequence and lead detail: sequence-email performance and lead-level outcomes and activity.
- Organisation overview: account-wide totals across all campaigns.
- Reports: the same summary, deliverability, volume and stocks read models shown in the Beam web UI.
Beam reports human replies and automated end-autoreplies separately, so reply_rate stays human-only while out-of-office and other automated responses are tracked on their own. Both rates use the same deliverable-leads denominator, which keeps bounces from skewing your numbers.
Good to know
- The key grants access to your whole organisation's campaign data. Store it securely and never share it over email or chat.
- Once Beam data is in your warehouse, you can join it to your CRM and billing sources in Rig to connect outbound activity to pipeline and revenue.
- You can disconnect Beam at any time from
Connections→Sources.
