Connect Orderspace to Rig

Orderspace is a B2B wholesale ordering platform. Rig connects through a private custom integration, which gives you a client ID and secret without any approval from Orderspace, and pulls your orders, customers, products, invoices and stock levels.

    Before you start

    • You need admin access to your Orderspace site, because the Integrations section sits in the admin area.
    • Choose a Private integration. Public integrations are for products that serve many Orderspace sites and are not needed here.

Step 1: Add a custom integration in Orderspace

    1. Sign in to the Orderspace admin and open Integrations.
    2. Choose Add a Custom Integration and create a Private integration. Give it a name you will recognise, such as Rig.
    3. Copy the Client ID and Client secret that Orderspace shows for the integration.

    Keep the secret safe
The client secret works like a password for your Orderspace data. Paste it only into Rig.

Step 2: Connect it in Rig

Adding a source needs a workspace owner, or a role with the Manage connections permission, on a workspace where you manage your own connections. If the Connectors tab says “Data ingestion for this workspace is managed by Rig”, ask an owner or Rig support to add the source.

    1. In Rig, open Connections, choose the Connectors tab and go to Sources & actions.
    2. Search for Orderspace, open the card and click Connect.
    3. Client ID: Paste the client ID from the custom integration.
    4. Client secret: Paste the client secret shown with it.
    5. Click Continue. Rig checks the credentials and lists the streams it can reach, so choose the ones you want and click Connect.
    6. The source then syncs on its schedule, which is nightly unless you change it. To load data straight away, click Sync on its row; Test pulls a small sample first if you want to check the connection.

    What Rig pulls in

Orderspace lands in its own orderspace schema in your warehouse:

    • Orders: wholesale orders and their line items.
    • Customers: the retailers that order from you, plus customer groups.
    • Products and inventory: products, categories and inventory levels by SKU.
    • Fulfilment and billing: dispatches and invoices.
    • Pricing and terms: price lists, payment terms, tax rates and preorder windows.

    Good to know

    • Orderspace access tokens last 30 minutes. Rig asks for a new one when needed, so you never handle tokens yourself.
    • Customer groups, price lists, payment terms, tax rates and preorder windows are small lists that Orderspace does not page, so Rig reads each in one request.
    • Inventory levels are keyed by SKU, so join them to products on SKU.
    • To disconnect Orderspace, click the bin icon on the source's row under Sources & actions. Only whoever connected the source or a workspace owner can do this, and data already synced stays in the warehouse.

    What people use this for

    • Track wholesale revenue by customer
    • Follow orders through dispatch and invoicing
    • Check stock against demand
