Connect Tracksuit to Rig

Sync your Tracksuit brand-health survey data into Rig: the funnel from awareness to preference, conversion between stages, imagery statements and media habits, for your brand and your competitors. Tracksuit connects with one API token.

    Before you start

    • You need the Admin role in Tracksuit to generate a token.
    • If you cannot see the Tokens tab, ask your Tracksuit contact whether the API is enabled for your account.

Step 1: Generate a Tracksuit API token

    1. Sign in to Tracksuit and click the settings cog.
    2. Open Account Settings, then the Tokens tab.
    3. Click Generate new token and give it a name you will recognise, such as Rig.
    4. Copy the token and store it somewhere safe.

    Tokens expire after 365 days
Tracksuit tokens last 365 days and have no refresh. Put a reminder in your calendar, then generate a new token and update it in Rig before the old one expires.

Step 2: Connect it in Rig

Adding a source needs a workspace owner, or a role with the Manage connections permission, on a workspace where you manage your own connections. If the Connectors tab says “Data ingestion for this workspace is managed by Rig”, ask an owner or Rig support to add the source.

    1. In Rig, open Connections, choose the Connectors tab and go to Sources & actions.
    2. Search for Tracksuit, open the card and click Connect.
    3. API token: the token from Step 1.
    4. Click Continue. Rig checks the credentials and lists the streams it can reach, so choose the ones you want and click Connect.
    5. The source then syncs on its schedule, which is nightly unless you change it. To load data straight away, click Sync on its row; Test pulls a small sample first if you want to check the connection.

    What Rig pulls in

Tracksuit lands in its own tracksuit schema in your warehouse:

    • Category views: the brand and market combinations you track, with their metadata.
    • Funnel and conversion: awareness to preference funnel metrics and stage-to-stage conversion, each with a significance table.
    • Statements: scores on brand imagery statements.
    • Media consumption: the channels your category's audience uses.
    • Profiles: demographic profiles for unprompted awareness, prompted awareness, consideration, investigation, usage and preference.
    • Category penetration: the share of the market that buys the category at all, with category size.

Funnel, conversion and statement rows cover your brand and the competitor set in each category view.

    Good to know

    • Tracksuit surveys in monthly waves, and its API only accepts periods that start on the first of a month. Rig asks for the full history each time and Tracksuit trims it to the waves that exist.
    • Tracksuit says its API numbers can differ from the dashboard because of weighting, smoothing and rounding.
    • Tracksuit's API does not include imagery data or Training Ground modules.
    • To disconnect Tracksuit, click the bin icon on the source's row under Sources & actions. Only whoever connected the source or a workspace owner can do this, and data already synced stays in the warehouse.

    What people use this for

    • Connect brand spend to brand movement
    • Watch the funnel, not just awareness
    • Track brand health against actual sales
