Connect Aircall to Rig
Sync your Aircall calls, with their tags, comments and recordings, along with users, teams, numbers and contacts into Rig. Aircall connects with an API ID and an API key that a dashboard admin creates.
Before you start
- You need an admin in Aircall to create the key. The key can read the whole company, so give it a descriptive name.
- Aircall shows the API key once, when you create it. Have somewhere safe to paste it before you click through.
- Aircall allows 60 API requests a minute for the whole company, shared with your other integrations. Rig stays under that with room to spare.
Step 1: Create an Aircall API key
- Sign in to the Aircall Dashboard and go to
IntegrationsthenAPI keys. - Click Generate an API key at the top right.
- Enter a key name, such as
Rig. - Copy the API ID and the API Key, and save both somewhere safe.
- Click Confirm to finish.
The key is shown once
Aircall displays the API key only when you create it. If you lose it, generate a new key and use that in Rig.
Step 2: Connect it in Rig
Adding a source needs a workspace owner, or a role with the Manage connections permission, on a workspace where you manage your own connections. If the Connectors tab says “Data ingestion for this workspace is managed by Rig”, ask an owner or Rig support to add the source.
- In Rig, open
Connections, choose theConnectorstab and go toSources & actions. - Search for Aircall, open the card and click
Connect. - API ID: paste the API ID from the key you just created.
- API token: paste the API Key value Aircall showed you. Rig calls it the API token.
- Click
Continue. Rig checks the credentials and lists the streams it can reach, so choose the ones you want and clickConnect. - The source then syncs on its schedule, which is nightly unless you change it. To load data straight away, click
Syncon its row;Testpulls a small sample first if you want to check the connection.
What Rig pulls in
Aircall lands in its own aircall schema in your warehouse:
- Calls: every call with its tags, comments and teams as child tables, plus the user, number and assigned agent on each call.
- Contacts: your Aircall contacts with their phone numbers and email addresses.
- Users and teams: agents and the teams they belong to.
- Numbers and tags: your Aircall numbers and the tag list.
Calls are read oldest first, so a large history lands in one run. Calls started in the last 7 days are re-read on every sync, so a late tag, comment or transfer is picked up.
Good to know
- Aircall serves six months of call history. Calls older than that are not available to Rig.
- An edit to a call that started more than 7 days ago is not re-read on later syncs.
- The key sees the whole company, and you can revoke it from the same
API keyspage in the dashboard. - To disconnect Aircall, click the bin icon on the source's row under
Sources & actions. Only whoever connected the source or a workspace owner can do this, and data already synced stays in the warehouse.
