Connect Walmart Marketplace to Rig

Walmart Marketplace is Walmart's third-party seller platform. Rig reads your orders, items and returns, and the settlement reconciliation report, which is the deepest route to payout history. It covers the US, Canada, Mexico and Chile.

    Before you start

    • You need a seller account with access to the Walmart Developer Portal, and Admin access if you want to reset keys.
    • Know which market you sell in: us, ca, mx or cl.
    • Use the Production Keys. The Sandbox Keys tab is for testing.

Step 1: Get your Walmart Client ID and secret

    1. Sign in to the Walmart Developer Portal with your Seller Center credentials.
    2. Open API Keys and stay on the Production Keys tab.
    3. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret. The portal keeps them available, so you can come back for them later.

Credentials belong to the seller account
All users of the partner account share the same keys, so resetting them breaks every integration that uses them. Seller keys have full API access.

Step 2: Connect it in Rig

Adding a source needs a workspace owner, or a role with the Manage connections permission, on a workspace where you manage your own connections. If the Connectors tab says “Data ingestion for this workspace is managed by Rig”, ask an owner or Rig support to add the source.

    1. In Rig, open Connections, choose the Connectors tab and go to Sources & actions.
    2. Search for Walmart Marketplace, open the card and click Connect.
    3. Client ID: Paste the production Client ID.
    4. Client secret: Paste the production Client Secret.
    5. Market: Leave it as us for a US seller. Enter ca, mx or cl for Canada, Mexico or Chile. Without the market, those regions return no data or deny access.
    6. WM_PARTNER.ID: Leave it blank. It is only for Walmart-approved solution providers.
    7. Click Continue. Rig checks the credentials and lists the streams it can reach, so choose the ones you want and click Connect.
    8. The source then syncs on its schedule, which is nightly unless you change it. To load data straight away, click Sync on its row; Test pulls a small sample first if you want to check the connection.

    What Rig pulls in

Walmart Marketplace lands in its own walmart_marketplace schema in your warehouse:

    • Orders: orders across your fulfilment channels.
    • Items: your item catalogue.
    • Returns: return records.
    • Recon report: settlement reconciliation lines, one file per settlement date.
    • Recon report dates: the index of settlement dates Walmart still holds, which also drives the recon report.

Other Walmart report families, such as WFS inventory logs, payment statements and listing quality, are not synced yet.

    Good to know

    • The orders endpoint reaches back about 180 days in the US and about 90 for Canada. The recon report goes further, because Walmart keeps many settlement dates, so the first sync walks every available date from the oldest.
    • Walmart access tokens last 15 minutes. Rig refreshes them itself.
    • Canada, Mexico and Chile use Walmart's Global APIs, which pick the market from the Market field.
    • To disconnect Walmart Marketplace, click the bin icon on the source's row under Sources & actions. Only whoever connected the source or a workspace owner can do this, and data already synced stays in the warehouse.

    What people use this for

    • Track revenue and AOV across Walmart orders
    • Measure repeat purchase and customer value
    • Analyse item performance and returns
    • Reconcile settlements and net payout
