Connect Sellerboard to Rig

Sellerboard has no general API. Each report you set up in Sellerboard gets its own feed link, and Rig fetches the links you give it and lands each report as a table with the name you choose.

    Before you start

    • You need a paid Sellerboard subscription. Sellerboard does not allow report downloads on a free trial.
    • Decide which reports you want, such as orders, dashboard by day or advertising performance, and the table name for each.

Step 1: Get a feed URL for each report

Sellerboard offers its reports under Profit and Reports in the left navigation, and it can run them on a schedule from its Automation page. Rig needs a link for each report that returns the data directly.

    1. Sign in to Sellerboard and decide which reports to ingest.
    2. For each report, set up automation in Sellerboard and copy the report's feed link, which has the form https://app.sellerboard.com/en/automation/reports?id=...&format=json.
    3. Choose JSON as the format where Sellerboard offers a choice. The link carries a token, so anyone with it can read that report.
    4. Pick a short table name for each report, such as orders or products.

Treat each link as a secret
A feed link has its access token inside the URL. Share it only with Rig. Sellerboard's help centre describes the report types and the Automation page.

Step 2: Connect it in Rig

Adding a source needs a workspace owner, or a role with the Manage connections permission, on a workspace where you manage your own connections. If the Connectors tab says “Data ingestion for this workspace is managed by Rig”, ask an owner or Rig support to add the source.

    1. In Rig, open Connections, choose the Connectors tab and go to Sources & actions.
    2. Search for Sellerboard, open the card and click Connect.
    3. Feed URLs (one per line, `<table_name>=<url>`): Enter one report per line as table_name=url, for example orders=https://app.sellerboard.com/en/automation/reports?id=...&format=json. The name before the equals sign becomes the table name.
    4. Click Continue. Rig checks the credentials and lists the streams it can reach, so choose the ones you want and click Connect.
    5. The source then syncs on its schedule, which is nightly unless you change it. To load data straight away, click Sync on its row; Test pulls a small sample first if you want to check the connection.

    What Rig pulls in

Sellerboard lands in its own sellerboard schema in your warehouse:

    • One table per feed: each line you enter becomes a table. Typical reports include orders, dashboard by day, dashboard by product, advertising performance, refunds and stock history.

The tables and columns come from the reports you configure in Sellerboard, so Rig loads only the feeds you add.

    Good to know

    • Sellerboard's dashboard reports can include a detailed fee breakdown. With that option on, the columns change when Amazon adds a fee type, so keep the option off if you want stable columns across syncs.
    • Sellerboard keeps data from the date your account connected to Amazon, so a report cannot reach further back than that.
    • To load another report, edit the source and add a line.
    • To disconnect Sellerboard, click the bin icon on the source's row under Sources & actions. Only whoever connected the source or a workspace owner can do this, and data already synced stays in the warehouse.

    What people use this for

    • Track net profit and revenue by product
    • Analyse per-product contribution margin
    • Measure PPC efficiency against profit
    • Reconcile fees, refunds and COGS
