# Connect ShopMy to Rig

Sync the creator orders and commissions in your ShopMy partner order report into Rig, so your AI tools can tie creator sales to commission. ShopMy connects with the developer key from your brand account.

## Before you start

- You need access to the brand account in ShopMy that owns the partner programme.

## Step 1: Find your ShopMy developer key

1. Sign in to ShopMy as the brand and open your account settings.
2. Open **Tokens** and find **Developer Key**.
3. Copy the key.

Treat it like a password
ShopMy warns that the developer key carries many privileges. Keep it out of shared documents.

## Step 2: Connect it in Rig

New to Rig? Watch how to find Connections

Adding a source needs a workspace owner, or a role with the Manage connections permission, on a workspace where you manage your own connections. If the Connectors tab says “Data ingestion for this workspace is managed by Rig”, ask an owner or Rig support to add the source.

1. In Rig, open `Connections`, choose the `Connectors` tab and go to `Sources & actions`.
2. Search for **ShopMy**, open the card and click `Connect`.
3. **Developer key**: The developer key from ShopMy.
4. Click `Continue`. Rig checks the credentials and lists the streams it can reach, so choose the ones you want and click `Connect`.
5. The source then syncs on its schedule, which is nightly unless you change it. To load data straight away, click `Sync` on its row; `Test` pulls a small sample first if you want to check the connection.

## What Rig pulls in

ShopMy lands in its own `shopmy` schema in your warehouse:

- **Orders**: creator orders with their commission, one row per order.

The first sync loads the full order history.

## Good to know

- ShopMy caps its API at 200 requests a day and returns 500 orders a page, newest first. Rig stops paging once it passes the last date it saw, so nightly runs stay small.
- A commission can lock 30 to 60 days after the sale and the order row updates without its date moving. Rig re-pulls a lookback window each night to catch that.
- ShopMy's report ignores date filters, which is why Rig reads from the newest order backwards.
- To disconnect ShopMy, click the bin icon on the source's row under `Sources & actions`. Only whoever connected the source or a workspace owner can do this, and data already synced stays in the warehouse.

## What people use this for

- Work out which creators actually pay off
- Compare affiliate against your other channels
- Check commission spend against margin
