# Connect Reviews.io to Rig

Sync your Reviews.io reviews, replies, NPS scores, questions, invitations and surveys into Rig so feedback can be read alongside orders and support data. Reviews.io connects with a store key and a private API key.

## Before you start

- Reviews.io lists API access on its Plus plan, so check that your plan includes it.
- You need access to the Reviews.io dashboard to read your API credentials.

## Step 1: Find your Reviews.io API credentials

1. Sign in to the [Reviews.io dashboard](https://dash.reviews.io/).
2. Go to `Integrations`, then `API`.
3. Under `API Credentials`, copy the Store ID and the API key. Reviews.io sometimes calls the Store ID the `url_key`.

## Step 2: Connect it in Rig

New to Rig? Watch how to find Connections

Adding a source needs a workspace owner, or a role with the Manage connections permission, on a workspace where you manage your own connections. If the Connectors tab says “Data ingestion for this workspace is managed by Rig”, ask an owner or Rig support to add the source.

1. In Rig, open `Connections`, choose the `Connectors` tab and go to `Sources & actions`.
2. Search for **Reviews.io**, open the card and click `Connect`.
3. **Store key**: paste the Store ID from the API Credentials section.
4. **API key**: paste the private API key. It gives access to reviewer emails, invitations and surveys.
5. Click `Continue`. Rig checks the credentials and lists the streams it can reach, so choose the ones you want and click `Connect`.
6. The source then syncs on its schedule, which is nightly unless you change it. To load data straight away, click `Sync` on its row; `Test` pulls a small sample first if you want to check the connection.

## What Rig pulls in

Reviews.io lands in its own `reviews_io` schema in your warehouse:

- **Reviews**: company reviews, product reviews and third-party company reviews, with replies, photos and NPS on the review rows.
- **Questions**: customer questions and their answers.
- **Invitations and unsubscribes**: company and product review invitations, and the people who unsubscribed.
- **Surveys**: surveys and their responses.
- **Review stats**: summary statistics for your store.

Reviews.io has no standalone NPS endpoint, so NPS comes from the review rows and the survey responses.

## Good to know

- The reviews endpoint filters by creation date, so a reply or edit added to an older review is not picked up by the nightly sync. Questions are reloaded in full each run, so late answers do arrive.
- Reviewer emails come back only with the private API key, so treat the synced data as personal data.
- To disconnect Reviews.io, click the bin icon on the source's row under `Sources & actions`. Only whoever connected the source or a workspace owner can do this, and data already synced stays in the warehouse.

## What people use this for

- Measure the invitation funnel, not just the reviews
- Track NPS against actual behaviour
- Close the loop on negative feedback
