# Connect Mintsoft to Rig

Mintsoft is the warehouse management system from Access, used by 3PLs to run fulfilment for client brands. Rig syncs its orders, returns, stock, goods-in, invoices and tracking into your warehouse. It connects with the username and password of a Mintsoft user.

## Before you start

- Ask your 3PL or Mintsoft administrator for a read-only API user. Mintsoft limits each API endpoint by user permissions, so the user must be able to see the data you want.
- If the account belongs to a 3PL client user, you must supply the login yourself. Mintsoft administrators cannot read a client user's API key.

## Step 1: Prepare a Mintsoft user

A Mintsoft API key belongs to a user account. Rig takes the username and password, then collects a fresh key at the start of every sync.

1. Sign in to Mintsoft as the user Rig should use.
2. If the user has never set a Mintsoft password, click **Settings**, then **Change Password**, and set one. This can differ from the user's Access Evo password.
3. Note the exact Mintsoft username and password.

No need to make the key permanent
Mintsoft API keys expire after 24 hours unless an administrator uses **Actions \> Set API Key to Never Expire** on the user. Rig does not need that, because it collects a new key on every sync.

## Step 2: Connect it in Rig

New to Rig? Watch how to find Connections

Adding a source needs a workspace owner, or a role with the Manage connections permission, on a workspace where you manage your own connections. If the Connectors tab says “Data ingestion for this workspace is managed by Rig”, ask an owner or Rig support to add the source.

1. In Rig, open `Connections`, choose the `Connectors` tab and go to `Sources & actions`.
2. Search for **Mintsoft**, open the card and click `Connect`.
3. **Mintsoft username**: The user's Mintsoft username.
4. **Mintsoft password**: That user's Mintsoft password.
5. Click `Continue`. Rig checks the credentials and lists the streams it can reach, so choose the ones you want and click `Connect`.
6. The source then syncs on its schedule, which is nightly unless you change it. To load data straight away, click `Sync` on its row; `Test` pulls a small sample first if you want to check the connection.

## What Rig pulls in

Mintsoft lands in its own `mintsoft` schema in your warehouse:

- **Orders and returns**: orders, returns, order statuses, return reasons and sales channels.
- **Products and stock**: products, stock levels, stock movements, per-product inventory, product suppliers and replenishment points.
- **Goods-in and transfers**: ASNs, warehouse transfers and picking batches.
- **3PL clients**: the client brands the warehouse serves.
- **Invoices**: invoices, with their order, return and goods-in line costs.
- **Shipping**: tracking events, courier services and courier service types.
- **Warehouse**: warehouses, locations and zones.
- **Reports and reference data**: products in location and product usage reports, plus countries, currencies, status lists, price types, order rules and picking types.

## Good to know

- Mintsoft's list endpoints return at most 100 records per page, and tracking events 500. Rig pages through them until an empty page.
- If the password changes, update it in Rig, or the next sync fails to sign in.
- Where a Mintsoft user lacks permission for an endpoint, that data cannot be read. Check the user's permissions if a table is empty.
- To disconnect Mintsoft, click the bin icon on the source's row under `Sources & actions`. Only whoever connected the source or a workspace owner can do this, and data already synced stays in the warehouse.

## What people use this for

- Run 3PL client reporting from one place
- Cost the operation properly
- Track goods in and out end to end
